Bill Cashman

Bill Cashman has been a member of Hope Lutheran Church for approximately 40 years.

In addition to serving as Elder, he currently assists in the Usher, Greet and Check-In, Knights of Hope, Adult Bible Study and Leisure Lutherans ministries. He has also served as President of the Congregation and Chair of the Building Fund Drive.

Bill has been retired since 2018. His career was in transportation planning and engineering, and his past employers included the Federal Highway Administration, the City of Virginia Beach, and three private consulting firms, finishing his career with AECOM.

Bill married Alison Evanish in 2023. Before her passing, Bill was married to Sue Cashman for 48 years, and they had two sons, Daniel, and Patrick. He also now has 5 grandchildren.

In addition to his activities at Hope, Bill is enjoying his retirement with golf, travel – especially visits with family, gardening, and visits to the beach.
