I am a long time member of Hope Lutheran Church who sang in the choir before my voice left me about 20 years ago. Both of our daughters were married at Hope. I have loved the online services because I can enjoy them on Sunday morning or when I am able to. My more recent time at church has been online but past was usually holiday visits (Christmas Eve and Easter) with my family as well as the few early service visits when family would be in town. I just don't like going to church alone so that is why the online services have been the best. About me...My full name is Lynn Rochelle Jackson. I grew up in Reading PA and went to and was confirmed in Hope Lutheran Church there. Married my high-school sweetheart, Tom Jackson, in 1973. Tom was in the Navy and we lived in Norfolk, then Jacksonville Florida and then back to Norfolk and then settled in Virginia Beach. Tom retired after 30 years in the Navy. We have 2 daughters, Jennifer Evans and Amelia Ankrah, who both grew up going to Hope Lutheran Church. I've been working for Sentara Healthcare for 37 years now but hoping to retire soon. Each of our daughters had 2 children, Jenny has Nicole and Scott; and, Amy and her husband Bernard have Sara and Bernard III. My likes are paper cutting, knitting, oldies but goodies on the radio, Disney, Star Trek (and Star Wars), and spending time with our daughters and grandchildren...Nicole is 25 and Scott is 24 so taking them to lunch and hearing about their lives is great time spent with them; Sara is 12 and Bernard is 8 so when they visit, I enjoy hearing about their lives in DE and enjoy going shopping and spending time with them. Tom and I still have family in PA but haven't done any more then talk on the phone since Covid-19. Hoping restrictions will make it easier to travel soon. Saving for now.
